WHITBY, Ont. - A 23-year-old Whitby man was seriously hurt after being thrown from his dirt bike northeast of Toronto.
Durham police say the man was speeding through a parking lot behind the Whitby Mall on Friday night.
Officers say he lost control and was thrown from the bike.
The man was not wearing a helmet and suffered a life-threatening head injury.
He was rushed to an Oshawa hospital before being transferred to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
