Man dies after pick-up truck crashes with train

A 58-year-old man from Chatham-Kent has died after a fatal crash between his pick-up truck and a Via Rail passenger train.
Police said they responded to a call about the collision at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The crash happened on Fairfield Line near Zone Road 6, just outside of Bothwell, Ont.
The driver of the truck was extricated by firefighters and taken to hospital, said police. He was later pronounced dead.
There were no reported injuries among the passengers in the train, said police.
