A 26-year-old man is dead after being gunned down in the city’s east end.
Police said the incident occurred at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday on Main Street, just north of Kingston Road in the Upper Beaches neighbourhood.
Reports indicate the victim was shot in the chest.
Emergency crews transported the man to Toronto’s St. Michael's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
An investigation into the shooting is underway. Police said they are withholding the victim's identity until his next of kin are notified.
The incident comes less than 24 hours after another man was shot to death outside of a Scarborough home, near Morningside and Mclevin Avenues, early Saturday morning.
Police are still searching for potential suspects in the death of 28-year-old Abdulaziz Farah.
