One of two suspects has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a teenager at an Etobicoke apartment complex last week.

Trevor Seraphine, 17, was gunned down at a building on Willowridge Road in the early-morning hours of March 21. Seraphine was heading to a friend’s house at the time.

Police would not elaborate on the motive for the shooting, saying the case is now before the courts.

At a news conference on Monday afternoon, police announced that they were looking for two brothers from Brampton, both believed to be dangerous. Police said they could be trying to flee to Jamaica from Canada.

On Tuesday morning, Toronto police said Curtis Murray, 25, had been arrested without incident in Mississauga. He was charged with first-degree murder.

Police are still looking for the suspect's 29-year-old brother Corey.

Seraphine, who moved to Toronto from Saint Lucia, had no gang affiliations and no criminal record, Bui told reporters.

Police also said a GoFundMe fundraising campaign has been set up to help bring Seraphine's parents to Toronto for his funeral.
