BRANTFORD, Ont. - A 71-year-old Hamilton man is due in court next month after police say a car going the wrong way on Highway 403 ignored officers.
Provincial police say they received several calls about a car travelling east in the westbound lanes of the highway Saturday morning.
Police say numerous attempts were made to stop the car but the driver ignored the emergency lights.
The car eventually crossed the highway and continued eastbound in the east lanes.
Police say the driver continued to ignore emergency lights and sirens. The car was eventually blocked in and stopped.
Brian Bond is due in court in Brantford on Dec. 19 charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and criminal negligence.
