A 19-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with a double stabbing in the city’s east end on Thursday night.
The stabbing occurred in a parking lot outside an apartment building near Pape and Gamble Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Residents in the area told CP24 on Thursday that the stabbing occurred during some sort of fight.
One victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result while the other sustained minor injuries.
The victim with more serious injuries was initially listed in life-threatening condition; however police say that his prognosis has improved since undergoing emergency surgery. Both victims are believed to be men in their 20s.
Charges are pending against the 19-year-old suspect.
