TORONTO - Robert Lepage's epic "Lipsynch" will see its North American premiere this June as part of the third year of Toronto arts festival Luminato.

The annual festival, which takes place on stages and in public spaces, will run from June 5 to 14.

"Lipsynch" is a nine-hour multimedia epic from the Quebec City playwright and director that weaves together the stories of nine lives over the span of 70 years. The performance includes four intermissions and one extended meal break.

This year's instalment of Luminato will also include Catalyst Theatre's "Nevermore," a theatrical journey into Edgar Allan Poe's psyche.

Meanwhile, Nederlands Dans Theater will make its first trip to Canada in 14 years to present a three-part mixed dance program.

The music, visual arts and literature components of Luminato will be announced in March.
