HASTINGS, Ont. - A homeowner turned up more than he expected while doing some excavating on his property between Norwood and Hastings.
Peterborough provincial police were called to the scene on Thursday after a human skull was unearthed.
Police determined the remains were not from any criminal activity but don't know how long the skull had been in the ground.
A forensic anthropologist in Toronto will examine the skull to try and determine what, if any, historic significance the skull holds.
