Police have arrested a 50-year-old Guelph man in connection with a sexual assault investigation involving a 14-year-old girl in North York.

Police say the girl was followed into the building in the Graydon Hall Drive and Don Mills Road area at around 7:10 p.m. on Sunday by a man claiming to have forgotten his keys.

Once inside, police allege that the man began to engage the girl in an inappropriate sexual dialogue.

The man then followed the girl into the elevator and sexually assaulted her, police say.

The arrest of a suspect in the case comes one day after police released a series of surveillance camera images.

Liberito Panaga is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference and is expected to appear in court at Finch Avenue West today.

Police say that they believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
