Thick black smoke could be seen around the city after the fire broke out around 4 p.m. this afternoon at a duplex residence at 845 and 847 Dupont Street.
Toronto Fire said the blaze was in the attic of both of the adjoining homes.
The fire was extinguished just before 4:30 p.m., according to Toronto fire captain Mike Strapko.
There were 12 fire trucks and 45 firefighters dispatched to the scene.
Toronto paramedics say there are no reported injuries.
