An elderly woman was shocked by a stun gun during a late-night Mississauga home invasion, police said on Thursday.

Peel Regional Police were called to a home on Cawthra Road south of Burnhamthorpe Road at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports that several masked men were committing a robbery.

Police said the elderly resident was shot with a stun gun and suffered minor injuries.
