A woman believed to be in her 20’s has been transported to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing took place in the city’s east end on Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the scene just before 9 a.m. in the area of Boultbee and Jones avenues.
According to Toronto police, the woman was conscious and breathing following the incident.
Police said it appears that a male suspect ran away from the scene, but the relationship between the victim and suspect is not yet known.
