NEWMARKET, Ont. -- A 51-year-old man is dead after the Volvo he was driving collided head on with a dump truck in Newmarket, Ont.
York Regional Police say the accident took place on Monday afternoon.
They say the crash propelled both vehicles off the road and caused the dump truck to roll over.
Police say the Volvo driver was rushed to hospital where he later died.
They say he was a resident of Mount Albert, Ont., but did not release his name.
The 79-year-old dump truck driver from Sutton, Ont., sustained minor injuries.
Police have not laid any charges and are continuing to investigate the crash.
