Cyclist seriously hurt after being struck by vehicle in L'Amoreaux area

A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough's L'Amoreaux neighbourhood.
According to Toronto Police, the collision occurred near Pharmacy and Finch avenues shortly after 7 a.m.
Paramedics say the victim, believed to be a man in his 40s or 50s, was rushed to a nearby trauma centre with serious head injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Pharmacy Avenue has been closed in both directions near Finch Avenue West as police and traffic services investigate.
