A new, interactive feature launched by CTV Toronto on Monday will change the way viewers connect with the news.

CTV Toronto launched the 360 View online feature on Monday, giving viewers the ability to control the camera and see every angle of the story.

360 View is an immersive, interactive online video platform that's designed to put viewers in the heart of the latest news stories.

The 360 View feature is shot via iPhone with Kogeto "Dot" technology – a camera that captures a 360-degree view at all times.

Viewers can control what perspective they see by spinning or turning the camera view without stopping or pausing the report.

CTV Toronto is the first news organization in Canada to use the interactive Kogeto technology.

"We're reinventing storytelling by 360 degrees," said Paul Rogers, Senior Vice-President of CTV Toronto. "We want to make the news more interactive for our viewers. We want to bring viewers inside the news process by bringing them into the newsroom, onto locations with us, inside the control room, and into the stories we tell."

Visit this page to access 360 View and check out the latest videos.

To control the camera angle on a computer, click anywhere on the video screen and drag the angle left or right. On iPads and iPhones and tablet computers, all it takes to change the view is the swipe of a finger.
