Firefighters are battling a two-alarm blaze at an industrial building in North York.

The fire broke out at around 1 p.m. at Rivalda and Bradstock roads, near Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue West.

Toronto Fire Capt. Mike Westwood told CP24 that he’s not sure what caused the fire, but said witnesses reported hearing explosions coming from inside the building when the blaze broke out.

He said it’s possible that the building is abandoned.

Photos and videos from the scene show a massive plume of black smoke billowing over the area. Police said earlier that the building is fully engulfed.

No injuries have been reported so far.

All lanes of Rivalda Road have been closed at Bradstock Road as crews tend to the blaze.
