Firefighters battled a serious house fire in Toronto’s Christie Pits neighbourhood.
The blaze broke out at approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday at a home in the area of Christie and Dupont Streets.
Toronto Fire Capt. Mike Strapko said a passerby noticed smoke coming out of the house and alerted fire crews.
Christie Street is closed to traffic from Dupont Street to Barton Avenue as a result of the fire.
Strapko said the fire is still active.
No injuries have been reported.
