MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Provincial police say an officer and a tow truck operator are injured following a collision on Highway 403 in Mississauga, Ont.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says police and tow trucks had responded to a two-vehicle collision on the highway on Monday afternoon.

Schmidt says a vehicle slammed into one of the disabled vehicles, pinning the tow truck driver and causing the officer to have to dive out of the way.

He says both were taken to hospital with relatively minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the disabled vehicle is charged with careless driving.
