NIPIGON, Ont. -- Ontario Provincial Police say two people are dead of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a home in Nipigon.

Police say an eight-year-old boy who was in the home survived and is in hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Yvan Gaujean, 60, and 45-year-old Claire Limag-Gaujean -- both of Nipigon.

Investigators say the adults were unresponsive when emergency personnel arrived at the home on Monday afternoon.

Carbon monoxide was detected in the home and police say it had to be cleared before it was safe to enter.
