A four-year-old child was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a van near Yonge Street and Finch Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the child was struck on Pemberton Avenue, near Kenneth Avenue, around 4:30 p.m.
The child was bleeding from the nose and head and was taken to Sick Kids hospital with traumatic injuries.
The child is being evaluated for life-threatening head injuries, traffic services said.
A spokesperson for traffic services said police will do a full reconstruction of the collision as part of their investigation.
