CALEDONIA, Ont. - Three people have been charged in connection with a weekend fight at a smoke shop on disputed land in Caledonia, Ont.
Fighting erupted Saturday at the shop at the end of Caledonia's main street, which some residents contend is on land not owned by Six Nations.
However, Six Nations officials insist the shop is on their land.
Provincial police have charged 45-year-old Gary McHale of Richmond Hill, Ont., with mischief.
Clyde Powless, 40, of Ohsweken, Ont., is charged with assault and mischief, and Jessie Porter, 42, also of Ohsweken, is charged with mischief.
The accused have been released pending a court appearance in nearby Cayuga at a date to be determined.
