DUNNVILLE, Ont. -- Provincial police are investigating after paint was dumped on top of one of their cruisers in Dunnville, Ont.

The grey paint was discovered early Friday morning on an OPP vehicle that was parked outside a hotel.

Police say officers were inside the hotel between 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. investigating a death when the incident happened.

OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk says investigators believe a bucket of paint was dumped on top of the cruiser and the vehicle was still in the shop being cleaned up on Friday afternoon.

Sanchuk says OPP are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
