A 15-year-old Brantford, Ont., boy has died after falling off his skateboard Saturday night.
Brantford police say Daniel Felix Friesz-Kivell suffered critical injuries following the incident. He was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Friesz-Kivell's sister, Kristen Gillingwater, said her brother was apparently travelling downhill on his skateboard when he lost his balance.
"He ended up wiping out and hitting his head and was knocked unconscious almost immediately," Gillingwater told CTV Kitchener on Sunday.
Gillingwater said her brother will be missed.
"He had an amazing heart," she said. "He was very protective of his family and his friends. (He was) very, very funny and outgoing."
