A three-year-old boy is critically injured after he was struck by a car while riding a scooter in Brantford, Ont. on Tuesday afternoon.
The child was playing in the parking lot at Greystone Heights townhouse complex, near Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Colbourne Street East, around 4 p.m. when he was hit.
He sustained a head injury in the incident, Brantford police say.
The boy was rushed to McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton where he remains in non-life-threatening condition, according to investigators.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The traffic unit is investigating the collision, and no charges have been laid.
