Fire crews battled a blaze that tore through a Pickering home Saturday evening.
The home, located near the intersection of Liverpool Road and Commerce Street, caught fire from a backyard barbeque. The flames from the barbeque quickly spread to the house.
All the people in the house escaped the home safely.
