Police are investigating a possible arson connection between three early-morning fires in Toronto's Kensington Market area.

The first blaze broke out at a two-story semi-detached building on Kensington Avenue, near Dundas Street West, at approximately 6:10 a.m.

Toronto Fire Services say two tenants managed to evacuate the building on their own. A third tenant trapped on the second floor was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say the fire caused approximately $200,000 in damages to the building.

The second blaze happened nearby on Baldwin Street, near Kensington Avenue, at approximately 6:27 a.m. Crews put out a fire near the door of a building.

The third blaze broke out minutes later at approximately 6:30 a.m. when a clothing bin on Augusta Avenue was on fire.

Toronto Fire says arson is suspected in all three blazes.

Police have not made any arrests or released any descriptions of possible suspects.
