Fatal crash on Highway 401 off-ramp

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the westbound off-ramp of Highway 401 at Keele Street.

The crash happened shortly after 2 a.m., when the ramp was closed for an investigation. It reopened at 5:45 a.m.

Ford Fest gets go ahead

The City of Toronto has granted a permit to Mayor Rob Ford and his family for their annual Ford Fest celebration.

The event will take place on Friday, in Thomson Memorial Park in Scarborough. Ford has previously said the barbecue is a family tradition and not a campaign event, however some Toronto residents doubted that after they said they received robocall invitations.

After defeating Boston 7-3 last night, the Jays play the Red Sox again. Wednesday's game at the Rogers Centre will start at 7:07 p.m. ET.
