Worker fired in wake of shocking nursing home hidden camera footage wants job back

A former employee at a Peterborough long-term care facility who was fired after a hidden camera installed in a resident's room captured video of apparent abuse is fighting to get her job back. Peggy Perrault was one of four workers who were fired from St. Joseph's at Fleming after footage from a hidden camera went public in May 2013. In the video, staff members are seen mistreating an 85-year-old woman who suffers from dementia.

On Monday, Perrault appeared at an arbitration hearing to have her job reinstated. Also in attendance was Camille Parent, the man who installed the camera in his mother's room. He was called to testify about the video he shot over a three-week period.
