Bring the umbrella and rain boots: there's a 40 per cent chance of rain Monday morning, with more expected to fall throughout the day. The temperature is expected to max out at 12 C.

TRAFFIC

Heading into the city, Highway 401 is barely moving from Dixie Road in Mississauga eastbound to Yonge Street. In Scarborough, the 401 is slow from Sheppard Avenue westbound to Martin Grove Road.

Highway 404 is stop-and-go from Steeles Avenue south to the 401, and the southbound Don Valley Parkway is slow in both directions from the 401 to Eglinton Avenue.

Downtown, the westbound Gardiner Expressway is moving very slowly from Yonge Street to Jameson Avenue. Eastbound traffic on the Gardiner is moving at a crawl from Park Lawn Road to Strachan Avenue.

Rob Ford will be replaced by a new mayor, but that doesn't mean he was out of the spotlight this weekend; the city clerk sent him a letter reminding him of election laws after he was seen at advance polls and asked to leave. Meanwhile, John Tory was being pressured to take a stand on island airport expansion, and he agreed to release a list of campaign donors.

Three men charged after fatal stabbing

Three people face charges following the death of a 19-year-old man who was stabbed during a house party in Mississauga early on Saturday morning. Police haven't yet said what might have led to the fatal altercation.

SPORTS

The Toronto Maple Leafs will have another day to recover on Monday, after a pair of losses to the Detroit Red Wings over the weekend. On Friday, they lost 4-1 and another #3 jersey was tossed on the ice. On Saturday, Henrik Zetterberg scored the game's only goal for the Wings, with 9.9 seconds left in overtime.

Toronto FC is out of the playoffs, but at least fans can turn to basketball. The Toronto Raptors pre-season is underway: they'll play Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday, Oct. 22 and The New York Knicks on Friday, Oct. 24.
