Strike averted for teaching assistants at U of T

A strike has been averted at the University of Toronto after a tentative agreement was reached between the university and teaching assistants overnight.

A union representative announced that a deal had been reached at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Elijah was a 'perfect little dude'

Elijah Marsh, the three-year-old who died after wandering outside wearing only a shirt, diaper and boots, was remembered at a public visitation yesterday. His godmother described him as a "perfect little dude." A funeral service for Elijah will be held on Saturday.

After trading David Clarkson yesterday to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Maple Leafs beat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2. The Toronto franchise returns to the ice on Saturday when they will play the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.
